Some items in this Curious Economy Loot Hunter Curious build require unlocking before they can be used. Note that items listed in "Avoid" sections are also shown here - check the build details to see if unlocking them is necessary for this strategy.
Focus on killing every loot alien to maximize economy. Two extra loot aliens spawn each wave but gain strength when killed. Avoid duplicate items as they cause -10% damage each. Leverage free items from loot aliens to outscale normal progression.
Start with Javelin for powerful single-target damage. Focus loot aliens with guaranteed crits. Prioritize economy items like Bag and Metal Detector. Get Fertilizer early for harvesting value.
Balance damage penalties from duplicate items with strong percent damage boosts. Use Ball and Chain for flat damage despite attack speed cap. Stack armor and regeneration for survivability.
Transition to level 4 weapons for massive damage output. Look for Silver Bullet to help with bosses. Stack percent damage to overcome duplicate penalties. Maintain high armor and regeneration for boss fights.
Avoid items that give penalties to enemy health or prevent weapon upgrades. Be very selective with duplicate items - only Bag and possibly Javelin are worth the damage penalty.
Prioritize melee weapons for better loot alien hunting. Don't stress if you miss a 5-second spawn loot alien. Use Fish Hook to try for cursed weapons. Keep some shop slots open for locking potentially useful items.
