Brotato Farmer Build Guide – Best Farmer Build
Farmer Ernte- und Endless-Builds
Is Farmer good in Brotato?
Farmer is a strong economy character that becomes extremely powerful in the mid to late game if you stack harvesting correctly. His weak early damage and -50% materials dropped make the first waves risky, but once your harvesting, gardens and consumable engine are online, Farmer can comfortably clear long and even Endless runs.
Strengths
- Insane scaling economy thanks to flat harvesting, bonus wave scaling and consumable-based harvesting gains
- Great synergy with Pruner, Garden and consumable-focused items for both income and sustain
- Can comfortably pivot into high-damage weapons (Sniper Gun, Particle Accelerator) once economy is established
- Very strong in long and Endless runs where harvesting has time to snowball
Weaknesses
- -50% materials dropped makes early waves and rerolling the shop much harder
- Low early damage and survivability until harvesting and healing are set up
- Relies heavily on getting key items (Gardens, Fish Hook, Crown and curses) to reach its full potential
- Can create lag in very long Endless runs due to large numbers of particles and structures
Farmer Stats & Passive Ability
Farmer is designed as a pure economy character: you start with bonus harvesting, gain extra percentage growth each wave, and convert every consumable picked at full HP into permanent harvesting. In exchange, enemies drop half as many materials, so you must squeeze maximum value from every pickup and reroll. Successful Farmer runs revolve around spawning and managing fruits with Pruner and Garden, staying at or near full HP to convert those fruits into harvesting, and letting your economy snowball before pivoting into damage. Early on you play cautiously and prioritize harvesting, consumables and shop discounts. Once you reach several hundred harvesting, you can freely reroll for strong weapons and late-game damage stats while your harvesting keeps growing on its own.

🌱Early Game
Rush Pruners and Gardens to start printing fruits and harvesting as soon as possible. Use Sickle as your early damage tool, since it scales with harvesting and helps you clear enemies while your Pruners set up. Prioritize Fish Hook to start cursing unique economy items and accelerate your scaling.
⚡Mid Game
Transition into a cursed economy engine once you are stable. Stack Robot Arm and Mirror to multiply their end-of-wave stat gains, while Sad Tomato and Gardens keep fruits spawning and your HP bouncing between missing and full for extra harvesting. Night Goggles and Black Flag support range and curse, and you can add a second Sickle if you need extra kill pressure on elites.
🔥Late Game & Endless
Once your harvesting is enormous, slowly replace some Pruners with high-damage scaling weapons like Particle Accelerator or Sniper Gun. Use Turret for extra structure damage and Tardigrade for safety while you stand in dense waves. Consider removing a few Pruners if the number of particles starts to lag your game, and balance between damage output and still spawning enough fruits to keep harvesting high.

Best weapons for Farmer
Pruner is the core Farmer weapon because it spawns Gardens that generate fruits, directly feeding his consumable-based harvesting passive while providing healing and an economy engine. All meta Farmer builds stack multiple Pruners early to flood the map with fruits.
Particle Accelerator is an excellent late-game and Endless pivot once Farmer has massive Engineering and economy. It combines high scaling burning damage with slows that benefit from Engineering-focused items like Nail and Improved Tools.
Sniper Gun gives Farmer long-range burst damage that pairs well with high economy: you can afford to invest heavily into range, crit and damage, then let your harvesting keep scaling in the background while snipers delete elites and bosses.
Sickle is a strong early and mid-game support weapon that scales with harvesting and excels at finishing low HP enemies, helping Farmer survive while Pruners and Gardens set up his economy.
Taser shows up as a late-Endless alternative once Sniper Gun becomes too laggy. The slow aura helps keep enemies away while Particle Accelerators and structures shred them.
Best items for Farmer (core item pool)
Garden is the single most important item for Farmer: it spawns fruits that both heal and trigger his passive for +1 harvesting when picked at full HP. Combined with Pruners, it turns the map into a permanent harvesting farm.
Crown directly amplifies Farmer’s core scaling by adding even more percentage harvesting growth each wave, stacking multiplicatively with his passive and accelerating your economy snowball.
Fish Hook enables cursed economy builds by turning locked uniques into cursed versions with much stronger scaling. Farmer’s huge harvesting and reroll economy make it easy to fully exploit cursed crowns, Nails and other uniques.
Spyglass both increases range for ranged transitions and cuts reroll prices, letting Farmer convert his massive harvesting income into more shop rolls and faster access to key items.
Lemonade boosts healing from fruits, letting Farmer safely dip below full HP and still quickly reach full again to trigger additional harvesting gains from consumable pickups.
Weird Food offers strong consumable healing, which is crucial when you rely on fruits for both survivability and farming your passive. The dodge penalty is negligible on an economy-focused Farmer.
Spicy Sauce adds free damage procs whenever you pick up fruits, synergizing with the huge number of consumables generated by Pruners and Gardens while also providing bonus Max HP.
Improved Tools boosts the attack speed of structures such as Gardens and Turrets, increasing fruit generation and structure DPS in engineering-focused Endless setups.
Axolotl is used in the Endless curse build to swap Farmer’s massive harvesting into another primary stat (such as elemental damage) and then convert it further with Strange Book, turning economic power into raw DPS.
Nail gives strong Engineering and makes weapon damage scale from it, which is perfect for Particle Accelerator builds where Farmer already has huge economy and can invest heavily into Engineering.
Sad Tomato provides enormous HP regeneration, letting you manage fruit pickup timing and recover from starting each wave at half HP while still ending waves at full HP for extra harvesting triggers.
Tardigrade adds a safety net each wave, which is invaluable for high-harvesting, low-defense Farmer runs that want to stay alive long enough for their economy and late-game damage to shine.
Farmer High Difficulty & Endless Strategy
Early Game
In early waves, accept that Farmer’s damage and income are weak due to -50% materials dropped. Prioritize taking Harvesting on level-ups, grab Pruners and Gardens as soon as they appear, and pick up consumables at full HP whenever possible to convert them into permanent harvesting. Shop for economy tools like Spyglass, Coupon and early Fish Hook rather than raw damage, using a single supporting weapon like Sickle to stay alive.
Mid Game
Once your harvesting reaches several hundred, shift focus to survivability and consistent damage. Fill all weapon slots with high-tier Pruners, then add Sickles or other support damage if elites feel threatening. Look for Life Steal and HP regeneration options in alternative builds, or cursed economy items, Robot Arm and Mirror in curse builds. Start buying powerful scaling items like Crown and Improved Tools so that your harvesting and structures ramp faster than enemy stats.
Late Game
In late game and Endless, your harvesting engine should be so strong that shop rerolls are effectively free. Begin swapping some Pruners into high-scaling weapons such as Particle Accelerator or Sniper Gun, supported by Engineering, elemental and crit stats from items like Nail, Frozen Heart, Strange Book and Pearl. Add defensive tools like Tardigrade and Max HP where needed, and consider switching away from lag-heavy setups (for example from Sniper Guns to Particle Accelerators or Tasers) as waves get very dense.
💡 Farmer excels when you treat the early waves as an investment phase: stack harvesting, Gardens and consumables rather than chasing quick damage. Once your economy is online, you can freely reroll into whatever damage package you prefer—melee, ranged or engineering—while harvesting continues to climb. On high difficulty and Endless runs, careful fruit management, curse synergies and timely weapon transitions are the keys to turning Farmer into a late-game monster.
Farmer FAQ
1How do I unlock Farmer in Brotato?▼
Farmer is unlocked by reaching +200 Harvesting in a run. Focus on picking Harvesting on level-ups, grabbing items like Crown and Garden, and using consumables at full HP to trigger his harvesting passive.
2What are the best weapons for Farmer?▼
Pruner is the core Farmer weapon and should be your early and mid-game focus. For late game and Endless, transitioning some slots into Particle Accelerator or Sniper Gun gives you the high DPS needed to clear elites and bosses while your harvesting engine keeps scaling.
3Which stats should I prioritize on Farmer?▼
Early on, prioritize Harvesting and enough HP or regeneration to safely pick up fruits. As harvesting grows, start investing into damage stats that fit your chosen weapons—Engineering and Elemental Damage for Particle Accelerators, or Damage, Crit Chance and Range for Sniper Guns—while keeping enough defense to survive dense waves.
4Which items should I avoid on Farmer?▼
User builds recommend avoiding items that interfere with consumable timing and flexible healing, such as Jerky, Torture, Blood Donation, Bloody Hand and Handcuffs. These can restrict Max HP or alter healing in ways that make it harder to stay at full HP for extra harvesting gains.
5Is Farmer good for Endless runs?▼
Yes. Several featured builds explicitly target Endless, using huge harvesting (often thousands by wave 20–40), Gardens and curse synergies. With the right items and a transition into Particle Accelerators or Sniper Guns, Farmer can comfortably push very high Endless waves.
