🎯How Co-op Works
Shared Resources
Materials and XP are shared between all players. When one player picks up materials, everyone benefits. This means economy characters become even more valuable!
Character Synergies
Some character abilities directly benefit teammates. Curse effects, enemy spawns, and map modifiers affect everyone - use this to your advantage!
Role Specialization
One player can focus on damage while another handles economy or survival. Specializing makes both players stronger than trying to do everything.
Revive Mechanic
Fallen players can be revived! This means risky builds are more viable since your partner can save you. Don't be afraid to take chances.
Best Character Combinations
Both Cryptids spawn +6 trees each, resulting in 12+ extra trees per wave. Each living tree grants 12 materials and XP at wave end, plus +3 HP Regeneration per tree. With enough trees, you become nearly unkillable while generating massive income. The game essentially becomes AFK mode once you get rolling!
- •Don't kill trees - protect them at all costs
- •Stack HP Regen and Dodge items
- •Position to protect trees from enemies
Old's -33% Map Size means turrets can reach almost everywhere on the map. Engineer's structures spawn close together and get +25% Engineering scaling. Combined, your turrets cover the entire battlefield while enemies move 25% slower. Both players can build turrets for complete map control.
- •Both players should invest in Engineering
- •Pocket Factory becomes extremely powerful
- •Focus on turret upgrades early
Creature generates cursed enemies through their passive (+1 Curse per level) and weapon scaling with 35% Curse. Sailor deals +200% Damage with Naval weapons against cursed enemies. One player creates the cursed enemies while the other annihilates them for massive damage. Absolutely broken synergy!
- •Sailor should prioritize Naval weapons (Anchor, Harpoon Gun)
- •Creature stacks Curse items like Black Flag
- •Creature can focus on survival while Sailor deals damage
Mage's +25% Elemental Damage and fire-focused kit (starts with Snake and Scared Sausage) sets enemies ablaze constantly. Chef deals +200% damage from non-elemental sources against burning targets. Mage spreads fire across the battlefield, Chef follows up with devastating damage.
- •Mage should prioritize Elemental Damage and fire spread items
- •Chef can use any weapon type effectively against burning targets
- •Flamethrower on Mage is extremely effective
Loud spawns +50% more enemies, and Ogre's passive makes enemies explode when taking double their max HP as damage. More enemies means more explosions, and explosions can trigger more explosions. Add Rip and Tear items for complete chaos. Just try to survive the mayhem!
- •Both players need good survival stats
- •Stack Explosion Damage and Size items
- •Dynamite and Plastic Explosive are must-haves
Gangster's stealing mechanic spawns elites when caught. Jack deals +125% Damage against bosses and elites, plus gets +200% materials dropped. More elites means more bonus damage opportunities and massive material gains. Gangster steals, elites spawn, Jack destroys them.
- •Gangster should steal frequently to spawn elites
- •Jack focuses on raw damage stats
- •Silver Bullet and Giant Belt amplify the synergy
Druid has higher fruit drop chance and gains +1 Luck per fruit picked. Lucky starts with +100 Luck and deals damage when picking up materials. Both benefit from Luck scaling - Druid collects fruits for Luck, Lucky collects materials for damage procs. Scales extremely hard into late game.
- •Let Druid collect most fruits
- •Lucky focuses on material pickup
- •Baby Elephant and Lucky Coin are excellent
Builder converts uncollected materials into Structure Attack Speed and Range. Streamer gains +3% materials per second while standing still and +2 Armor per structure. Builder creates turrets to protect the stationary Streamer, who generates passive income. Perfect symbiosis!
- •Streamer should find a safe corner and stay put
- •Builder spreads turrets around Streamer
- •Stack structures for Streamer's armor bonus
Ghost's +30% Dodge (capped at 90%) makes them nearly untouchable. Loud's +50% enemies means more materials dropping. Ghost can dodge through hordes safely while Loud's bonus enemies provide economic advantage. Ghost handles survival, Loud handles damage.
- •Ghost stacks Dodge items to reach 90% cap
- •Loud can be more aggressive with damage items
- •Adrenaline synergizes well with Ghost
Bull explodes for massive damage when taking hits. Masochist gains +5% Damage per hit taken. Both characters benefit from getting hit - Bull deals explosion damage, Masochist stacks permanent damage buffs. Tank together, profit together!
- •Stack HP Regeneration and Armor on both
- •Don't dodge - you want to get hit!
- •Explosion items make Bull even stronger
Both characters spawn more trees - Cryptid gets +6 trees, Explorer also increases tree spawns. Combined with Pocket Factory, you can generate an army of turrets from trees while Cryptid gains massive HP Regen from living trees. Tree paradise!
- •Get Pocket Factory on both players if possible
- •Lumberjack Shirt makes tree clearing easy
- •Balance between killing and preserving trees
Buccaneer's weapons reset cooldown when picking up materials, and picked materials have +100% value. Loud spawns +50% more enemies, which drop more materials. With constant material drops, Buccaneer can fire weapons non-stop. Combine with Laser Gun for devastating results!
- •Buccaneer should get high-damage slow weapons
- •Sifd's Relic auto-attracts materials instantly
- •Gecko items help with material pickup
Demon converts materials to Max HP and buys items with HP instead of materials. Streamer generates passive materials while standing still. Streamer feeds materials to the team, Demon converts them to massive HP pools. Streamer's structures also protect both players.
- •Streamer focuses on material generation
- •Demon stacks Max HP for bigger item purchases
- •Structures provide armor for Streamer
Engineer boosts structures and spawns them close together. Technomage starts with 2 Turrets and gets +5% Structure Attack Speed per Elemental Damage. Both players create turret armies that scale with different stats. Double the turrets, double the destruction!
- •Technomage stacks Elemental Damage for structure speed
- •Engineer uses raw Engineering stat
- •Pile of Books lets structures crit
Fisherman's free Baits spawn special enemies throughout waves. Bull's explosion damage works great against clustered special enemies. Fisherman brings the enemies, Bull blows them up.
- •Use Baits every wave for maximum enemies
- •Bull benefits from more targets for explosions
- •Stack Harvesting on Fisherman for economy
Farmer has +20 Harvesting with scaling, Baby has +12 Harvesting and -20% item prices. Together they generate massive income for powerful item builds. Baby's extra weapon slots let them use more weapons while Farmer funds everything.
- •Both players buy aggressively with high income
- •Baby gets many cheap weapons
- •Farmer focuses on consumable healing for bonus Harvesting
