With Hunter’s amplified Crit Chance and Crossbows critting frequently, Hunting Trophy becomes a core economy engine that compensates for his completely negated Harvesting and helps scale into mid and late game.

Scope gives both Range Damage and Range, the two most important offensive stats for Hunter. The small Attack Speed penalty is easily offset by his high damage per shot and crit scaling.

Because Max HP scaling is reduced, flat defensive items like Warrior Helmet are very valuable. It provides both Armor and Max HP, helping Hunter survive stray hits without needing heavy HP investment.

With no Harvesting, Hunter benefits more from Luck-based drops. Lost Duck provides cheap early Luck with no downside for a pure ranged build, slightly improving income and item quality.

Poisonous Tonic stacks three premium stats for Hunter: Attack Speed, Crit Chance, and Range. It supercharges Crossbow DPS and crit consistency at the cost of some HP regen, which Hunter can manage by playing at long range.

Bandana adds extra piercing to projectiles, which synergizes perfectly with Crossbow’s crit-based pierce. Even with a small damage penalty, the ability to hit more targets per shot greatly improves wave clear.

Leather Vest offers a mix of Armor and Dodge, letting Hunter patch up his defenses without leaning too heavily on Max HP, which scales poorly for him.

Metal Plate is a simple way to grab Armor on a character who relies mostly on damage scaling through range and crit. The small damage loss is negligible compared to the survivability gained.

Tentacle adds more Crit Chance and a crit-based healing effect. With Hunter’s high crit rate and Crossbow’s pierce, this provides reliable sustain without investing heavily in regeneration.
