For Wave 20, you need a normal balance of HP (~70), Armor (~10), and Speed (~10-20), but other than that, go for pure Damage (Explosion Size > Explosion Damage > Ranged Damage > Damage). You should kill the Bosses fairly quickly. I would recommend restarting till you get a Horde on Wave 12 and 15 and further increase the Number via Gentle Alien.
Avoid Items
Healing is usually unnecessary. If you have one or two Tardigrades, you can simply stack health to withstand any wave. Attack speed can be helpful, but avoid pushing it much beyond the 200% baseline you start with.
