Brotato Creature Build Guide
Creature Build & Strategie
Is Creature good in Brotato?
Creature is a strong curse-scaling character that turns high Curse into massive weapon damage, but needs careful range, defense and XP management to stay stable in the late game.
Strengths
- Weapon damage scales additionally with Curse, giving excellent damage growth over time.
- Starts with a cursed Fish Hook and gains Curse every level, naturally stacking the main stat.
- Works very well with fast-hitting weapons that quickly convert Curse into DPS.
Weaknesses
- Loses Range and XP Gain at the end of every wave, making positioning and leveling harder as the run progresses.
- Higher Curse indirectly makes enemies more threatening, so you must invest in defenses and kiting tools.
- Can feel weak early if you do not quickly secure attack speed and range to leverage the passive.
Creature Stats & Passive Ability
Creature revolves around stacking Curse and converting it into raw damage. Every level gives +1 Curse and all weapon damage gains an additional 35% scaling from your total Curse, so the longer the run goes, the harder your weapons hit. You start with a cursed Fish Hook to get early value from Curse-centric items. Because you lose Range and XP Gain at the end of each wave, you must compensate with items, high attack speed and good positioning. Fast, ranged weapons let you stay at a safe distance while still benefiting from Curse scaling. Plan to pick range, attack speed and some economy early, then shift into damage and defenses once your Curse and DPS start snowballing.

Strategy
🌱Early Game
Rush multiple SMGs and some XP or range support so Creature can immediately leverage his Curse scaling while offsetting early penalties to Range and XP Gain.
⚡Mid Game
In the mid game, stack Curse-focused items and boost attack speed and range so your SMGs can mow down enemies from a safe distance while Creature’s Curse-based damage scaling ramps up.
🔥Late Game & Endless Scaling
For late waves and Endless, maximize Curse scaling and pair it with strong crit and range tools so SMGs one-shot regular enemies while you kite and rely on defenses and positioning to handle the increasingly dangerous foes.
Best weapons for Creature
SMGs have very high attack speed, letting Creature apply his Curse-based damage scaling constantly while staying at range to mitigate the penalties to Range and rising enemy threat.
Hiking Pole passively restores Range as you move, directly countering Creature's stacking Range penalty and helping SMGs hit safely from farther away.
Best items for Creature (core item pool)
Ashes supplies damage, attack speed and a large chunk of Range in one item, perfectly offsetting Creature’s Range loss while amplifying his Curse-scaled DPS.
Black Flag adds flat Curse and bonus materials from cursed enemies, feeding both Creature’s damage scaling and his economy at the cost of tougher waves, which he can handle with high DPS.
Hunting Trophy turns SMG crits into a strong economy engine, helping Creature afford key Curse and Range items needed for Endless scaling.
Spyglass gives extra Range and cheaper rerolls, directly countering Creature’s Range decay while making it easier to find core Curse and DPS upgrades in the shop.
Giant Belt makes SMG crits chunk enemies for a percentage of their health, stacking multiplicatively with Curse-based damage to shred tanky foes and elites in Endless.
Metal Plate sacrifices a bit of damage for valuable Armor, helping Creature survive the increased enemy damage that comes from stacking Curse-heavy items like Black Flag.
Sunken Bell provides a powerful emergency nuke when you drop low, giving Creature a safety valve against dangerous waves made deadlier by his stacked Curse.
Triangle of Power offers a big damage boost and extra Armor, nicely complementing Creature’s scaling while rewarding careful play that avoids taking hits.
Crystal ramps up attack speed over each wave, letting SMGs fire faster and convert Creature’s growing Curse into a torrent of bullets, as long as you avoid getting hit.
Creature High-Difficulty Strategy
Early Game
In the early waves, prioritize getting to a full rack of SMGs as soon as possible so Creature can start benefiting from Curse scaling. Pick up a bit of XP gain or economy to offset the -5% XP Gain per wave, and grab Range where possible so you stay effective despite the stacking Range penalty.
Mid Game
During the mid game, lean into Curse-centric and DPS items like Black Flag and Ashes while padding your Range with Spyglass or similar tools. Add some Armor or survivability so you can withstand the increased enemy damage that comes from both Curse effects and more enemies on screen.
Late Game
In the late game and transition to Endless, max out Curse scaling and crit synergies with items like Hunting Trophy and Giant Belt while ensuring you have enough defenses. Maintain high attack speed on SMGs, keep moving to dodge threats, and rely on your long Range and burst to delete elites and bosses before they can close in.
💡 Creature’s high-difficulty gameplan is to snowball Curse into overwhelming ranged DPS while carefully countering his Range and XP penalties. Build SMGs and attack speed early, stack Curse and range boosters in the mid game, and add crit and defensive layers late so you can safely handle dense, hard-hitting waves and scale into Endless.
