Brotato Brawler Build Guide
Aggressiver Unarmed-Dodge-Build für Brawler
Is Brawler good in Brotato?
Brawler is a strong melee specialist who shines with unarmed weapons, high attack speed and dodge-based survivability, but struggles with ranged options and reach.
Strengths
- Huge attack speed boost with Unarmed weapons, enabling very high DPS
- Starts with a Fist and bonus Dodge, making early waves safe and aggressive
- Scales extremely well with dodge and attack speed items for sustained melee damage
Weaknesses
- Severe penalties to Range and Ranged Damage, effectively locking you into melee
- Short range playstyle can feel risky without enough regen, armor and max HP
- Highly dependent on finding the right Unarmed weapons and dodge-scaling items
Brawler Stats & Passive Ability
Brawler is built to fight up close with Unarmed weapons. The +50% Attack Speed with Unarmed and starting Fist give you immediate offensive power, while +15% Dodge encourages an evasive, hit-and-run style. Because of the heavy Range and Ranged Damage penalties, investing into ranged weapons is not worth it – focus entirely on melee and Unarmed. Stack attack speed, dodge and sustain (HP regeneration and later life steal) so you can stay in melee range and constantly punch through waves without getting overwhelmed.

Strategy
🌱Early Game
In the early game, rush multiple Claws while padding your dodge and regeneration so you can stay in melee range safely. Use tools like Ugly Tooth to slow enemies and create breathing room. Prioritize basic sustain items and any early dodge rolls to stabilize your health while your attack speed ramps up.
⚡Mid Game
Mid game is where the build transforms into a true attack speed monster. Stack items that grant attack speed and dodge, pushing toward the dodge cap to fully exploit Retromation's Hoodie. At the same time, keep investing in HP regeneration so that frequent chip damage from fighting at close range does not become lethal.
🔥Late Game
In the late game, transition your sustain from pure regeneration into a mix of regen and life steal by picking up Bloody Hand. With high attack speed and crit chance from items like Sunglasses, your Claws will trigger constant life steal and explosive damage. Round out your defenses with armor and extra HP from pieces like Leather Vest and Mammoth so you can stay on top of elites and endless waves.
🔥Items to Avoid
Avoid items that significantly cut into your max HP or dodge. Even if they offer strong damage, they undermine the defensive backbone of this build, which relies on a mix of dodge, armor and HP to survive constant melee contact.
🔥General Tips
Play around your regen and dodge: kite when you are low so regeneration can tick you back up, then dive in once your health is stable. Prioritize hitting the dodge cap to supercharge Retromation's Hoodie, and after your core attack speed is set, look for armor and max HP to smooth out any hits that get through.
Best weapons for Brawler
Claw is an Unarmed weapon that perfectly matches Brawler's +50% Attack Speed with Unarmed, letting you stack multiple copies for extremely fast melee hits. The build exploits Claw's strong melee scaling and combines it with dodge and attack speed items so you can punch through dense waves at close range.
Best items for Brawler (core item pool)
Brawler already wants to stack dodge, and Retromation's Hoodie converts that directly into a massive attack speed boost, turning your Unarmed weapons into a blender at close range while the Range penalty is irrelevant for melee.
Coffee gives cheap percentage attack speed, which multiplies Brawler's natural Unarmed bonus; the small damage reduction is easily offset by the increased hit frequency and other melee damage sources.
With extremely high attack speed from Unarmed Claws, Bloody Hand's life steal and damage scaling turn every hit into strong sustain and DPS, making late-game waves and Endless much more manageable.
Leather Vest offers both armor and dodge, two defensive stats Brawler loves. The extra dodge also boosts Retromation's Hoodie, while armor protects you from the inevitable hits that bypass dodge.
Peaceful Bee is an efficient way to stack dodge early, slightly sacrificing melee damage in exchange for survivability and economy, which in turn powers up your hoodie-based attack speed scaling.
Plant provides solid HP regeneration that keeps Brawler healthy while constantly brawling in melee, smoothing out chip damage in early and mid game before heavy life steal scaling comes online.
Black Belt gives both XP gain and melee damage, helping Brawler level faster to grab key stats while significantly boosting Claw damage and adding knockback for extra safety in close quarters.
Mammoth offers a huge chunk of flat melee damage and HP regeneration, making your Claws hit much harder while giving you the sustain to stay in melee, with knockback adding control around your character.
Rip and Tear synergizes with Brawler’s rapid-hit playstyle by creating frequent explosions in dense packs, further boosting clear speed while your melee attacks constantly kill enemies.
Sunglasses boosts crit chance so that your ultra-fast Unarmed attacks crit often, greatly increasing overall damage; the small armor loss is acceptable if you have other defensive sources.
Ugly Tooth slows enemies you hit, which is powerful when you are constantly tagging targets with Claws, letting you control crowds and mitigate Brawler’s need to stay close to danger.
Brawler High-Difficulty Strategy
Early Game
On high difficulty, open by rushing Unarmed weapons like Claw and stabilizing with dodge and HP regeneration. Avoid over-investing in pure damage before you have enough survivability to stay in melee. Pick up early dodge boosters such as Peaceful Bee and basic regen items so you can comfortably farm materials within enemy packs.
Mid Game
In mid game, push toward the dodge cap and stack percentage attack speed with items like Coffee and Retromation's Hoodie. This is the point where your DPS spikes, so supplement it with armor and a healthy HP pool from items like Leather Vest or Mammoth. Prioritize melee damage and attack speed on level-ups, with some HP regen to keep pace with incoming chip damage.
Late Game
Late game and Endless waves demand both sustain and damage scaling. Transition into life steal using Bloody Hand and support it with your extremely high hit rate. Round out your stats with armor, max HP and a bit of crit chance so elites and bosses melt quickly. Always maintain space to kite when low and only commit to brawling when your regen and life steal can outheal incoming hits.
💡 Brawler excels on higher difficulties by turning dodge and Unarmed attack speed into overwhelming melee pressure. Focus first on surviving close-range combat through dodge and regen, then ramp into huge attack speed and damage. With the right mix of life steal, armor and HP, you can comfortably brawl inside enemy packs even in very late waves.
