Brotato Stats Guide (2026)
Every Brotato stat – Primary, DLC, and Secondary – explained in depth. Effects, formulas, item synergies, character interactions, and the strongest builds for each stat. Updated for the current Paws & Claws meta and the Abyssal Terrors DLC.
How Brotato Stats Work
Brotato has two main categories of stats. Primary stats (Max HP, Damage, Crit Chance, Engineering, and 13 more) are your core scaling levers — most shop items modify one or more primary stats at the cost of another. Secondary stats (Knockback, % Explosion Damage, % XP Gain, % Pickup Range, etc.) cover everything else: structure modifiers, economy, environment, and special projectile behaviour.
Along with picking up powerful weapons and choosing the right character, Primary Stats are the core way to scale into the late game. Click any stat below for the full breakdown — effects, formulas, all related items, builds that use it, and the best characters for stacking it.
Primary Stats (16)
↓ Click any card for the full guidePrimary stats are the primary way for your character to get stronger. They influence how much damage you deal, how much damage you can survive, and how fast you move. Most items in the shop modify one or more of your primary stats.
Max HP
The size of your health bar – the amount of damage you can take before dying.
HP Regeneration
Passive healing that restores 1 HP every few seconds, faster the higher the stat.
Life Steal
Each attack has a chance to heal you for 1 HP. Capped at 10 HP per second.
Damage
Multiplicative damage modifier that affects every attack except Engineering structures.
Melee Damage
Flat damage added to melee weapons that scale with the Melee Damage stat.
Ranged Damage
Flat damage added to ranged weapons that scale with the Ranged Damage stat.
Elemental Damage
Flat damage for elemental weapons + scales Burn DoT damage.
Attack Speed
Attack x% faster with weapons. Strongest scaling stat for fast multi-projectile builds.
Crit Chance
% chance for each hit to land as a critical (usually 2× damage). Caps at 100%.
Engineering
Damage and healing stat for structures (turrets, mines, gardens). The only primary stat that affects structures.
Range
Increases weapon reach. Ranged weapons get +x range; melee weapons get +x/2 range and slightly slower attacks.
Armor
Reduces incoming damage by a percentage. Each point gives +6.66% Effective HP.
Dodge
% chance to completely avoid an attack. Capped at 60% (70% Cryptid, 90% Ghost).
Speed
You move x% faster. No cap. Negative speed slows you down.
Luck
Drops more loot, raises shop & upgrade rarity. The economy stat.
Harvesting
Earn x materials and XP at the end of each wave. Compounds at +5% per wave.
DLC Stats
Added with the Abyssal Terrors DLC.
