What does HP Regeneration do in Brotato?
HP Regeneration is one of the three main forms of healing in Brotato. Each point shortens the time it takes to passively heal 1 HP. The first point is by far the most valuable (0 HP/s → 0.20 HP/s) and every additional point adds roughly 0.089 HP/s. HP Regeneration pairs especially well with high Max HP – the bigger your bar, the more value those healed points have. Note that Torture replaces HP Regen entirely with a flat 5 HP/s heal at the cost of disabling all other forms of healing.
HP Regeneration Mechanics & Edge Cases
- •First point of HP Regen gives 0.20 HP/s; each additional point ~0.089 HP/s.
- •Negative HP Regen acts like 0 (it does NOT damage you).
- •Torture overrides everything: 5 HP/s, no other healing works while equipped.
- •Healing tick rate is enemy-action independent – you keep regenerating during combat.

HP Regeneration FAQ
How does HP Regeneration work in Brotato?▾
Each point makes you heal 1 HP slightly faster. The first point gives 0.20 HP/s, every additional point adds about 0.089 HP/s. At 10 HP Regen you heal 1 HP per second; at 50 HP Regen, 4.5 HP/s.
Is HP Regeneration good in Brotato?▾
Yes, but it scales with your Max HP. On a 15 HP bar a few points of regen tops out almost instantly; on a 100 HP bar regen pays for itself across multiple full heals between waves.
What is the best HP Regen item in Brotato?▾
Banana, Coffee, and Pizza are excellent value at low tiers. At Tier 4, Tractor and Adrenaline are the strongest sources. Medical-class weapons stack even more regen on builds like Doctor.
Does Torture stack with HP Regeneration?▾
No. Torture replaces all other healing (regen, life steal, consumables) with a flat 5 HP/s. Buy Torture only when you can support that flat rate as your sole source of healing.
